LOWELL, Mass.
— In an exciting season opener, UMass-Lowell showcased their dominance with a resounding 115-59 victory over Rivier on Monday night.
Quinton Mincey led the charge for the River Hawks with an impressive 20 points, complementing his performance with seven rebounds.
Yuri Covington also made a significant contribution, scoring 18 points and shooting an impressive 6 of 7 from the field, which included a noteworthy 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.
Additionally, he added seven rebounds to his tally.
Martin Somerville rounded out the strong offensive effort with 17 points, shooting 6 of 8 from the field, with five of his scores coming from three-point territory.

For Rivier, Kyler Bosse was the standout scorer, finishing the game with 17 points.
Matt Constant and Odarius Cade also contributed with 14 and 12 points, respectively, but their efforts fell short against the relentless River Hawks.
