NEW YORK — Vice President Kamala Harris made an unexpected trip to New York City on Saturday, diverting from her planned campaign schedule in the critical days leading up to Election Day.
Harris took off from Charlotte, North Carolina, aboard Air Force Two on Saturday evening, initially intending to head to Detroit.
However, a campaign representative informed journalists traveling with her that she would first stop in New York before continuing to Detroit for a scheduled campaign event in Michigan on Sunday.
At this time, the campaign has not disclosed specific details regarding her plans or activities while in Michigan.
