DAVIS, Calif. — In a commanding performance, Miles Hastings connected on three touchdown passes, while teammate Lan Larison rushed for 143 yards and also tallied three touchdowns, leading UC Davis to a significant 59-7 victory over Northern Colorado on Saturday. This win marked their eighth consecutive triumph this season.
Currently, UC Davis holds an impressive record of 8-1 overall and remains undefeated at 5-0 within the conference, positioning themselves at fourth in the FCS coaches poll. They are closely following No. 2 Montana State, who also maintains a perfect 9-0 record with a matching 5-0 conference standing. Upcoming challenges await the Aggies as they prepare to face Montana on the road next Saturday, before returning home to take on the Bobcats on November 16.
In the game, Hastings completed 20 of his 26 pass attempts for a total of 285 yards, spreading the scoring across three different receivers. Larison made his impact felt early by rushing for a 49-yard touchdown in the first quarter, followed by a 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. He further extended the Aggies’ lead with an 8-yard touchdown run early in the third, bringing the score to 31-0.
Caden Meis managed to score a touchdown for Northern Colorado (1-8, 1-4), completing a 2-yard run with 7:41 left in the game. Despite the loss, the Bears put forth an effort in what has been a challenging season.
