STILLWATER, Okla. — The college football match between Arizona State and Oklahoma State scheduled for Saturday has been postponed indefinitely due to severe thunderstorms and lightning in the area.

Oklahoma State made the decision to suspend the game during halftime with Arizona State ahead 21-14. A notice displayed on the stadium’s jumbotron urged fans to leave their seats and evacuate the premises as safety precautions were implemented.

Initially, the game was set to kick off at 6 p.m. Central Time, but anticipations of bad weather prompted organizers to change the start time to 2:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the contest was halted at approximately 4:22 p.m. due to the deteriorating conditions.

Meanwhile, also in Oklahoma, the game featuring Oklahoma against Maine underwent a similar rescheduling process. Originally slated for 1:30 p.m., the start time was moved earlier to 11 a.m. to dodge the approaching storm system. Oklahoma successfully concluded their game with a decisive victory, winning 59-14 without any delays.

Fans and teams alike remain hopeful that the weather conditions will improve, allowing for the resumption of the suspended game in the near future.
