MOREHEAD, Ky. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Carter Cravens delivered an impressive performance, throwing three touchdown passes to lead Morehead State to a 21-7 victory over St. Thomas (Minnesota). This defeat marked the first loss in conference play for the Tommies this season, effectively ending their four-game winning streak.
The scoring opened with Cravens connecting on a 22-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Upp, giving the Eagles an early advantage. However, St. Thomas quickly responded, tying the game with a 68-yard touchdown pass from Tak Tateoka to Colin Chase in the first quarter.
The Eagles managed to regain the lead before halftime when Cravens completed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Trevion Green, putting Morehead State up 14-7 at the break. Cravens continued to shine, throwing a 12-yard touchdown pass to Nate Garnett Jr. late in the third quarter, extending the Eagles’ lead to 14 points.
