MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Miami Dolphins are bracing for the absence of four key starters as they prepare to take on the Buffalo Bills this Sunday.

Defensive tackle Zach Sieler (eye), tight end Julian Hill (shoulder), and cornerback Kader Kohou (neck) were officially ruled out on Friday.

Despite dealing with a foot injury over the last couple of weeks, wide receiver Tyreek Hill will continue to participate in the game, as confirmed by head coach Mike McDaniel.

Kohou and Sieler, who suffered an eye injury during practice last Thursday, will be sidelined for their second consecutive game. Hill sustained his shoulder injury in the first quarter of last week’s match against Arizona and did not practice throughout the week.

McDaniel mentioned that upon his return, Sieler will wear a visor to protect his eye. Da’Shawn Hand is expected to step in for Sieler once again this Sunday.

“It’s critical to ensure you can see, and we want to prevent any further damage to the eyes if possible,” McDaniel stated on Friday. “If it were purely a matter of performance, he might be able to play, but we need to focus on safeguarding him from additional injury, which guides our decision.”

In addition to the aforementioned absences, safety Jevon Holland is unlikely to take part in the game due to a knee injury he acquired while playing against the Cardinals. Holland is also coping with a hand injury sustained in Week 5 and did not practice this week as well.

This leaves Miami with expected starters Jordan Poyer and Marcus Maye taking over safety responsibilities for the game against Buffalo.
