Liz Cheney, labeling the former Wyoming congresswoman and longtime Republican a “war hawk” and questioning her enthusiasm for military action, suggesting she might think twice if she were on the front lines herself.
Trump Takes the Stage with Tucker Carlson
Speaking in Glendale, Arizona, alongside former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Trump addressed Cheney’s vocal opposition, which has been unwavering since the Jan. 6 Capitol incident. Cheney, now an outspoken supporter of Trump’s Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, continues to campaign against the former president.
Carlson questioned Trump on the peculiarity of Cheney’s stance, prompting Trump to call her “a deranged person” who “always wanted to go to war with people.”
Trump Doubles Down on Cheney Critique
He further characterized Cheney as “a very dumb individual,” escalating his critique by envisioning her on the battlefield: “She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with the rifle standing there … OK, let’s see how she feels about it when the guns are trained on her face.” Trump continued, “They’re all war hawks when they’re sitting in Washington in a nice building saying, ‘Oh gee, well let’s send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy.’”
