Unrivaled is set to broaden its player roster ahead of the first season for the 3-on-3 women’s basketball league.
Co-founder Napheesa Collier shared news on social media Thursday that the league will expand from 30 to 36 players, enabling each team to consist of six athletes.
“Our financial success has allowed us to offer more opportunities, which is something we had hoped to do in the future,” Collier expressed in a video on social media.
“This is a remarkable moment for women’s sports, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported us.”

In recent months, Unrivaled has showcased a lineup full of WNBA stars through various social media platforms.
Aliyah Boston, representing the Indiana Fever, was announced as the 30th player joining a talent pool that includes well-known figures such as Brittney Griner, Jewell Loyd, and Angel Reese.
Notably, Caitlin Clark has yet to sign with the league; however, there is still room for her should she choose to join.

“We will always have a space for Caitlin Clark on our roster,” stated Alex Bazzell, the president of Unrivaled, in a conversation with Sportico.
“We aren’t pressuring her and are allowing her the time she needs away from the game. She understands that a spot is waiting for her when she feels prepared to join.”

Earlier in October, the league announced an exciting multiyear collaboration with TNT and its sports channels, promising to broadcast over 45 games starting this January.
Viewers can expect matchups showcased three nights a week, with games airing on TNT on Mondays and Fridays, while Saturday games will be visible on truTV.

The season will kick off on January 17, with games taking place in Miami.
Additionally, the league has introduced the names of its six teams: Laces Basketball Club, Mist Basketball Club, Phantom Basketball Club, Lunar Owls Basketball Club, Rose Basketball Club, and Vinyl Basketball Club.
