‘Saturday Night Live’ enlists comedian Bill Burr and pop star Charli XCX to host post-election episodes

NEW YORK — Comedian and actor Bill Burr is set to host the inaugural post-election episode of “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) on November 9. Accompanying him as the musical guest will be the talented Mk.gee, who is known for his work as a guitarist, producer, and vocalist. The show will also feature Charli XCX in an upcoming episode as she takes on hosting duties for the first time while returning as a musical guest.

Burr, currently on the road with his “Bill Burr Live” tour, will also be seen joining Kieran Culkin and Bob Odenkirk in a Broadway revival of the classic play “Glengarry Glen Ross” this spring. His second stint as SNL’s host will surely draw a wealth of anticipation from audiences.

Meanwhile, Charli XCX will grace the SNL stage on November 16. This marks her inaugural hosting gig, while it will be her third turn as the musical performer. The talented pop artist is riding high on the success of her newly released album “Brat” and its accompanying projects.

In a notable development, Mk.gee will be featured as a musical guest for the very first time on the show, showcasing his work from his debut album, “Two Star & The Dream Police.” His current world tour has generated buzz around his work, making this appearance particularly exciting for his fans.

“SNL” is gearing up for its season return on November 2, where John Mulaney will host and Chappell Roan will take on musical duties. This 50th season of SNL has already included notable performances, with Maya Rudolph portraying Kamala Harris, James Austin Johnson embodying Donald Trump, and Jim Gaffigan representing Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz.
