Florida excludes WR Wilson and CB Marshall from upcoming rivalry match against No. 2 Georgia

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators will not have the services of wide receiver Eugene Wilson III and cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. when they face the No. 2 ranked Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday.

The Gators, currently holding a record of 4-3 and standing at 2-2 in the Southeastern Conference, announced the absence of both key players on Wednesday night.

Wilson has been a significant contributor to the team’s offense, ranking third with 19 catches for a total of 266 yards along with one touchdown. Meanwhile, Marshall has been a critical part of their defense, accumulating 20 tackles and leading the team with four pass breakups while having started in all seven contests this season.

Additionally, Florida has declared cornerback Ja’Keem Jackson and safety Asa Turner as unavailable for the game. Running back Montrell Johnson Jr., linebacker R.J. Moten, and lineman Damieon George Jr. are currently categorized as questionable for Saturday’s matchup.

This development poses challenges for the Gators as they prepare to take on a highly ranked opponent. The absence of key players could have a significant impact on the team’s strategy and performance during the game.
