The Minnesota Vikings have reached an agreement to trade for seasoned left tackle Cam Robinson from the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to a source familiar with the situation. This confirmation was provided on Tuesday under the condition of anonymity, as the trade is still subject to the completion of a medical examination before it is officially finalized.
As part of the agreement, the Vikings will send a conditional fifth-round draft pick in 2026 to the Jaguars. This pick could elevate to a fourth-round selection depending on Robinson’s playtime. Simultaneously, the Jaguars are set to exchange a conditional seventh-rounder in 2026 that may be voided based on Robinson’s field time.
Robinson, who has dedicated his entire NFL career to the Jaguars since being drafted in the second round in 2017 from Alabama, will provide the Vikings, currently holding a 5-2 record, with a viable option to fill in for standout tackle Christian Darrisaw. Darrisaw’s season has ended prematurely due to significant knee injuries, specifically a torn ACL and MCL suffered during the most recent game. In his absence, veteran David Quessenberry stepped in, while other alternatives include rookie Walter Rouse and starting left guard Blake Brandel, who had previously filled in at left tackle for Darrisaw due to a concussion last season.
Robinson was recently cleared from the concussion protocol but did not play as a starter against Green Bay due to the Jaguars’ decision to evaluate backup Walker Little. Little, a second-round pick from 2021, is also dealing with his contract year imperatives.
This marks the second time in three weeks that the Jaguars, who are struggling this season with a 2-6 record, have traded away a veteran player. Earlier, they dealt defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris to Seattle for a sixth-round pick in the 2026 draft.
The Vikings are scheduled to face off against the Jaguars on November 10.
