SEATTLE — In a commanding performance, Josh Allen led the Buffalo Bills to a convincing 31-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, despite throwing his first interception of the season.
The Bills, now 6-2 and atop the AFC East, showcased their strength as they secured their third consecutive win, with Allen completing 24 of 34 passing attempts for 283 yards, and contributing two touchdown passes.
James Cook was instrumental in the victory as well, rushing for 117 yards and scoring two touchdowns, helping to maintain the Bills’ control throughout the contest.
Allen had a remarkable run of 300 consecutive passes without an interception that was halted when Josh Jobe intercepted him in the second quarter.
However, the Seahawks were unable to capitalize on the turnover, as quarterback Geno Smith faltered, failing to convert on a crucial fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line.
Reacting promptly, Allen orchestrated a 12-play, 93-yard drive that concluded with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Dalton Kincaid, extending Buffalo’s lead to 14-3.
Earlier in the game, the Bills also executed a lengthy 90-yard drive that was capped off by a 2-yard touchdown reception from Keon Coleman, which took an impressive 9:07 off the clock.
On the other hand, Seattle struggled offensively, with Smith finishing 21 of 29 for 212 yards and an interception, while the ground game was nearly nonexistent, managing just 32 yards.
The Seahawks’ only touchdown came during a late-game push, which did little to change the outcome.
Overall, Buffalo dominated the statistics, outgaining Seattle 445 yards to 233 and maintaining possession for over 38 minutes, underscoring their effectiveness on both sides of the ball.
