MILWAUKEE — Reserve guard Andre Jackson Jr. of the Milwaukee Bucks was involved in a car accident involving a single vehicle following his team’s practice on Saturday morning but did not need medical assistance, according to the team’s announcement.
A representative for the Bucks confirmed that Jackson was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the incident and emphasized that there were no reported injuries. The guard is expected to participate in the team’s upcoming game against Brooklyn on Sunday.
Jackson played a significant role in UConn’s triumph during the 2023 national championship, which contributed to the Bucks deciding to acquire him. The Bucks secured Jackson during draft day trades after he was chosen as the 36th overall pick in the second round.
Standing at 6 feet 6 inches, Jackson had a modest rookie season, posting an average of 2.2 points, two rebounds, and about 10 minutes of play in 57 games. He made a brief appearance in the Bucks’ season opener, where they triumphed over Philadelphia with a score of 124-109, and did not enter the game during their subsequent 133-122 defeat against the Chicago Bulls on Friday.
