MADISON, Wis. — In a recent clash against Wisconsin, Penn State’s quarterback Drew Allar did not return to start the second half. This decision came after he sustained an injury late in the second quarter of the game.
In the closing minute of the first half, Allar exited to the locker room ahead of his teammates, following a troublesome play where he was sacked during Penn State’s final offensive series of the first half.
Although he made an appearance in the second half while sporting a brace on his left knee, Allar remained on the sidelines as backup quarterback Beau Pribula took the reins for Penn State’s first drive in the third quarter.
Before his injury, Allar had put up impressive stats, completing 14 of 18 passes for 148 yards, marking one touchdown without any interceptions. Despite Allar’s strong performance, Penn State found themselves down by a score of 10-7 at halftime.
