BUIES CREEK, N.C. — In a thrilling homecoming matchup, Sincere Brown showcased his playmaking ability by catching two long touchdown passes from both of Campbell’s quarterbacks, leading the Fighting Camels to a 21-7 victory against North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
The game started with a bang as Chad Mascoe Jr. connected with Brown for an impressive 64-yard touchdown pass on just the third play of the game, granting Campbell an early 7-0 advantage.
Later in the first quarter, backup quarterback Mike Chandler II added to the scoreboard, reaching the end zone on an 8-yard run. He then found Brown again with a 53-yard pass, extending Campbell’s lead to 21-7 with just about ten minutes left in the contest.
North Carolina A&T managed to get on the board with a 9-yard touchdown reception from Ger-Cari Caldwell, making the score 14-7 early in the fourth quarter, but that was the only score for the Aggies in this game.
Chandler and Mascoe demonstrated efficient passing, completing 11 of their 16 attempts for a combined total of 197 yards, while Brown made five receptions for an impressive 150 yards.
On the other side, Justin Fomby for North Carolina A&T completed 20 of his 40 pass attempts, totaling 140 yards, with one touchdown but was hindered by two interceptions.
The victory marked a significant moment for Campbell as they celebrated their homecoming, with Sincere Brown emerging as the star performer on the field.
