Frankie Muniz, known for his role on “Malcolm in the Middle,” is embarking on a full-time career in NASCAR by joining the Truck Series in 2025.
Muniz will transition from a part-time competitor to a full-time position driving the No. 33 Ford for Reaume Brothers Racing. This season, he made two appearances in the Truck Series for Reaume Brothers.
Team owner Josh Reaume expressed excitement about Muniz joining the team on a full-time basis, stating, “We’re thrilled to welcome Frankie to our team full-time and to expand our relationship with Ford Performance.
Their support has been invaluable, and we believe that with Frankie’s passion and our collective momentum from this year, we can make significant strides in the upcoming season.”
Muniz is set to race in the Truck Series event scheduled for Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Earlier in the season, he participated in two races within NASCAR’s Xfinity Series, including the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.
At 38 years old, Muniz expressed optimism about the opportunities ahead, saying he believes the team can “achieve great things together.
I can’t wait to get started.” In addition to his work in Truck Series, Muniz has also taken part in the ARCA Series, which is a preliminary level within the NASCAR framework.
His racing background includes 14 races in the 2006 Formula BMW USA series, followed by a move to the Champ Car Atlantic Series the following year. Muniz’s racing career faced a setback in 2009 when a crash caused injuries, prompting him to step back from racing.
A longtime motorsports fan, Muniz has previously driven the pace car during the 2001 Daytona 500, a notable event in which seven-time Cup Series champion Dale Earnhardt lost his life on the last lap.
