STOCKHOLM — Tommy Paul concluded an impressive week by claiming victory at the Stockholm Open for the second time on Sunday.
The American tennis player, who managed to go through the tournament without dropping a single set, triumphed over Grigor Dimitrov with a score of 6-4, 6-3 in a final that lasted 85 minutes.
This victory marks Paul’s third ATP title of the year, following his earlier successes at the Dallas Open and Queen’s Club.
Before this year, his only other title on the ATP tour was also in Stockholm, which he won back in 2021.
For Dimitrov, the tournament has produced a mix of outcomes.
The Bulgarian secured the championship in 2013 but has experienced disappointment in subsequent finals, losing in 2014 and again in 2017.
