BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. — In a thrilling college football matchup on Saturday, Tyler Ridell showcased his impressive skills by throwing four touchdown passes, leading Gardner-Webb to a narrow 42-35 victory over Lindenwood. The Runnin’ Bulldogs improved their record to 2-5 overall, with a 1-2 standing in the Big South-OVC conference.

Quasean Holmes was a standout on the ground, amassing 156 yards on 26 carries and finding the end zone with a 17-yard run late in the third quarter. This crucial score extended Gardner-Webb’s lead to 42-21. Meanwhile, teammate Edward Saydee also had an impressive performance, rushing for 116 yards on 15 carries, including a 13-yard touchdown run.

However, the Lions, with a record of 3-5 and 1-3 in the conference, were not ready to concede defeat. They fought back, narrowing the gap to a single score after Nate Glantz connected with Drew Krobath for a 23-yard touchdown pass with just 30 seconds remaining.
