Mbappé opened the scoring for Madrid with a powerful shot from distance in the 20th minute. However, Celta Vigo responded in the 51st minute, leveling the match with a goal from Williot Swedberg.
The decisive moment came in the 66th minute when Vinícius Júnior, who had just been substituted on, netted the winner. He received a perfectly timed assist from Luka Modric, who threaded a pass through the Celta defense.
Celta Vigo put up a strong fight against the reigning champions, with Thibaut Courtois making crucial saves against attempts from Swedberg and Jonathan Bamba. Additionally, Celta substitute Anastasios Douvikas came close to scoring an equalizer in stoppage time, missing by mere inches.
