PAJU, South Korea — Hannah Green wrapped up her second round, which had been postponed due to inclement weather, with an impressive score of 8-under 64 on Saturday. This performance put her in the lead by two strokes after completing 36 holes in the LPGA Tour’s BMW Ladies Championship.

Green was already 4-under through her first round on Friday before the rain interrupted play, halting the competition for the day. By the end of the second round, the Australian golfer accumulated a total score of 16-under 128 at the Seowon Valley Country Club, matching her opening round score of 64.

In second place after the completion of the second round is South African Ashleigh Buhai, who finished with a score of 66. Meanwhile, both Lydia Ko, the gold medalist from the Paris Olympics, and Jenny Shin ended their rounds with scores of 66 and 69, respectively, placing them in a tie for third position, five strokes behind Green.

Hannah Green is noted for her victory at the 2019 Women’s PGA Championship, one of the prestigious majors on the LPGA Tour. Similarly, Ashleigh Buhai has her own major title, having claimed victory at the 2022 Women’s British Open held at Muirfield.

The third round of the tournament in South Korea was set to be completed later on Saturday. The event boasts participation from eight of the top 10 players on the LPGA Tour, along with 17 out of the 18 champions from this season. Notably absent is American golfer Nelly Korda, who had to withdraw due to a neck injury.
