Four individuals tragically lost their lives in a vehicular accident in France involving a Tesla. This incident occurred after the vehicle reportedly collided with a road sign and subsequently ignited, according to local police reports from Monday.

Lt. Eric Hoarau, a spokesperson for the nearby police, stated that the specifics surrounding the crash, which took place on Saturday evening close to Niort, are still under investigation. Authorities are working diligently to piece together what led to this devastating event.

Hoarau noted that the evidence indicates the car may have veered off the roadway, supported by physical marks on the road and the presence of a damaged sign. Additionally, the lack of witnesses has added a layer of complexity to the inquiry.

Unfortunately, all four occupants—the driver and three passengers—sustained severe burn injuries that have rendered them unidentifiable, further complicating the investigation. As of now, Tesla has not provided any comments regarding the situation.
