Pakistan keeps Masood as captain for upcoming home test series against England

Pakistan’s cricket team has made some key decisions ahead of their upcoming three-test home series against England. Shan Masood will retain his position as captain despite facing criticism after a recent defeat to Bangladesh. Left-arm spinner Noman Ali has been recalled to join the squad, adding depth to the team’s bowling options alongside Abrar Ahmed.

Aamer Jamal has recovered from a back injury and earned a spot in the 15-member squad, providing all-round support to the team. Unfortunately, fast bowler Khurram Shahzad has been omitted from the squad due to a left side strain sustained during the previous series against Bangladesh.

Selectors have also opted to exclude fast bowler Mohammad Ali and middle-order batter Kamran Ghulam, who were part of the squad during the Bangladesh series. The upcoming test matches are set to take place in Multan from Oct. 7-19, followed by the final test in Rawalpindi on Oct. 24. A pre-series training camp for the Pakistan squad is scheduled to commence in Multan on Oct. 1.

The squad for the series against England includes players like Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. These selections aim to strengthen the team and improve their performance in the upcoming matches.
