Donna Kelce, the matriarch of the Kelce family, is venturing into the world of entertainment with appearances in two upcoming Hallmark Christmas movies that are centered around football. These movies, “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” and “Christmas on Call,” feature football themes related to her sons, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Jason Kelce, the recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center.
In “Holiday Touchdown,” Donna Kelce portrays the manager of a barbecue restaurant, marking her debut in acting. Meanwhile, in “Christmas on Call,” her role involves ensuring a character orders a Cheesesteak the authentic Philadelphia way, ‘whiz wit.’
This announcement comes as Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, expands his Hollywood presence. Having hosted “Saturday Night Live” earlier in 2023, his acting ventures include roles in Ryan Murphy’s “Grotesquerie” and hosting duties on “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” Additionally, he has acquired his first producer credit this year.
On the other hand, Jason Kelce has joined ESPN as an analyst and will be contributing a song to one of his mother’s movies. The track, titled “Santa Drives an Astrovan,” will be performed by The Philly Specials, a musical group consisting of Jason Kelce and Eagles players Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson, along with Mt. Joy. Proceeds from their upcoming album will be directed towards the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Moreover, the Kelce brothers recently struck a significant deal with Amazon’s Wondery for their renowned “New Heights” podcast, enhancing their presence in the podcasting realm.
