Carlos Davis guides Towson to 14-9 triumph against Morgan State

Carlos Davis led Towson to a 14-9 victory over Morgan State with 218 passing yards and a touchdown. Sam Reynolds caught a 5-yard pass from Davis for the first score, giving Towson a 7-3 lead early in the game. A 6-yard touchdown run by Christopher Watkins extended the lead to 14-3 at halftime.
Morgan State responded in the third quarter when Tahj Smith connected with Joseph Kennerly Jr. for a 74-yard touchdown pass. Despite Smith driving the Bears to midfield late in the game, they were unable to convert on a fourth-and-15 play, securing Towson’s win. Smith completed 13 of 20 passes for 163 yards.
Towson outgained Morgan State with 355 total yards compared to 249, although they also had two turnovers in the game.
