AP Top 25: Georgia Tech Ends Poll Drought at No. 23, ACC Teams Sue and Start 0-3

Georgia Tech recently made an impressive entry into The Associated Press Top 25 rankings for the first time in nine years after starting their season with a 2-0 record. This achievement came after defeating Florida State in Ireland. Other teams that ended lengthy droughts without being ranked in the polls included Rutgers and Vanderbilt. Texas Tech and Boston College also had extended runs without appearing in the rankings.

Despite Florida State dropping out of the rankings, the Atlantic Coast Conference saw an increase in the number of teams in the Top 25 this week, with five teams making the cut. Louisville entered the rankings alongside Clemson, who managed to hold on to the 25th spot.

In terms of upcoming games, Georgia will face Tennessee Tech, Ohio State will play Western Michigan, and Texas will take on No. 10 Michigan. Alabama looks strong with freshman WR Ryan Williams showing promise. Notre Dame aims to continue their success against Northern Illinois.

Other notable teams include Michigan, Utah, Miami, USC, Tennessee, and Oklahoma, all gearing up for their respective matchups. With the college football season well underway, teams are striving to solidify their rankings and make their mark on the field.
