Chechnya President Ramzan Kadyrov extended an invitation to Tesla CEO Elon Musk to visit Russia after a video surfaced of him driving a Cybertruck equipped with a machine gun. The footage, shared on Kadyrov’s Telegram channel, showed him cruising in the stainless steel-clad Cybertruck before showcasing the mounted machine gun in the truck bed, complete with ammunition belts draped around it.
Expressing admiration for the Cybertruck, Kadyrov, known for his authoritarian rule over Chechnya, hailed the vehicle as one of the finest in the world, stating that he had developed a fondness for it. He announced his intention to donate the car to Russian forces engaged in the conflict in Ukraine, calling the vehicle a “cyberbeast” that would greatly aid the troops.
Although Kadyrov claimed to have received the truck as a gift from Musk, this has not been independently verified. Requests for comment from Tesla regarding the issue remain unanswered.
In addition to the invitation to Musk, Kadyrov used the video as an opportunity to welcome Musk to Chechnya, suggesting that a visit by the Tesla CEO would likely be accepted by the Russian Foreign Ministry. Kadyrov also hinted at the possibility of collaborating on new developments that could support their military operations in Ukraine.
