A man in Loveland, Colorado faces charges of strangulation and child abuse after allegedly grabbing a teenager by the neck and throwing him to the ground at an In-N-Out Burger. The incident occurred when the teen was apologizing for accidentally splashing water on a woman. The 55-year-old man turned himself in to police after a warrant was issued for his arrest, with bail set at $75,000. His court appearance is scheduled for August 23, though he has not yet entered a plea.
Police were called to the Loveland restaurant around 1 a.m. on August 4 following the altercation. According to reports, a 15-year-old boy and his friends were playing around and splashing water on each other when the woman was unintentionally splashed. As the teen went to say sorry to the woman, the man allegedly assaulted him.
By the time authorities arrived at the scene, both the man and woman had left the restaurant. Video footage of the incident was reviewed by officers, and witnesses were able to identify the suspect involved in the altercation. The investigation into the events at In-N-Out Burger in Loveland is ongoing.
