Brazilian forward Evanilson is on the verge of completing a transfer to Bournemouth for a reported fee of around 40 million pounds ($51.6 million). The 24-year-old, who currently plays for Porto, had an impressive season in Portugal, scoring 13 league goals and recording a hat trick in the Champions League against Royal Antwerp in October.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola confirmed Evanilson’s imminent arrival, stating that the player has undergone medical examinations and is progressing through the necessary administrative procedures. The deal is still pending finalization.

Evanilson’s arrival at Bournemouth will fill the void left by Dominic Solanke, who recently moved to Tottenham Hotspur in a deal reportedly worth 65 million pounds ($83 million). Meanwhile, Tottenham has also secured the services of French under-21 international winger Wilson Odobert from Burnley and Ipswich Town has signed Sam Szmodics, the Championship’s top scorer last season, from Blackburn.

This acquisition marks a significant shift in Bournemouth’s lineup and reflects a broader trend of player transfers within the English football leagues.
