Man in Mississippi arrested after discovery of 10 deceased dogs in his home

In Oxford, Mississippi, a recent gruesome discovery resulted in the arrest of a man after 10 dogs were found dead with their collars and chains still attached, according to authorities. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department revealed that deputies, acting on a tip, visited a residence on August 4 only to find it unoccupied. Following this, investigators were informed and with the help of a warrant, they found the 10 deceased dogs still attached to their collars and chains.
Alongside the tragic find, an additional 20 dogs were discovered at the property, many of which seemed malnourished. These dogs were promptly taken to a veterinarian’s office for care. The sheriff’s department confirmed the subsequent arrest of a 47-year-old man on 10 charges of animal cruelty in connection with this distressing incident.
