Two years ago, Adele bought Sylvester Stallone’s former house in
Beverly Hills – for the equivalent of around 54 million euros. However,
she and her beau Rich Paul still haven’t moved in…
It’s not uncommon for stars and starlets to have multiple homes that
they rarely use. Yet Adele has taken it to another level: the British
singer has owned a massive mansion for years that she has never set
foot in herself. The reason for this is renovation work that has been
delayed for two years. According to a report in The Sun, this may
continue for some time. Adele is now reportedly investing millions
more in the renovation.
Adele follows in Rocky’s footsteps
However, the Beverly Hills villa is not your average detached house.
After all, the property used to belong to Sylvester Stallone. Previously,
the Rocky actor constructed the house with eight bedrooms and
twelve bathrooms. Yet that might not suffice for the musician. As part
of the purchase, she aimed to expand the building by an entire floor.
She is also planning to build a garage for up to five cars.
The large-scale construction project is being handled by the
renowned construction company Valle Reinis. The renovation work is
reportedly so extensive that only a few elements will remain
unchanged. One of them is a statue by the pool depicting Stallone’s
iconic boxing character Rocky with a raised fist.
The actor disclosed in 2023 that he had initially intended to take the
statue with him when he relocated. However, Adele objected: ”That
ruins the whole agreement. She insisted on keeping the statue,” said
the actor.
An alleged insider informed The Sun: ‘The house is going to be
absolutely massive. Adele envisions it as her forever home with her
son Angelo and her partner Rich Paul, and she dreams of expanding
her family there.’
In any case, Adele firmly believes that all the effort will be worthwhile.
And there would be plenty of space for potential offspring (or even
ten)…
