Donald Trump’s confusion continued as he mentioned details of the supposed incident involving Willie Brown, stating that Willie had shared negative information about Vice President Kamala Harris with him. However, Willie Brown clarified that he has never been in a helicopter with Trump and has never spoken ill of Harris to the former president.
The relationship between Willie Brown and Kamala Harris from decades ago has resurfaced as a talking point in light of Harris’ political position. Trump and other Republicans have used this to criticize Harris’s ascent in politics. Willie Brown, who was a speaker of the California State Assembly in the 1990s, had a past relationship with Harris, who has since become a prominent figure in California politics, serving as the state’s attorney general before being elected as a U.S. senator.
Despite the discrepancies in Trump’s account of the helicopter incident, his campaign spokesperson declined to address the inaccuracies in his statements, instead emphasizing that Trump has many stories from his life that he shares with the public.
