At the rally, a 20-year-old individual, armed with his father’s gun, fired towards Trump, injuring two others and grazing the upper part of Trump’s ear with a bullet. The assailant, Thomas Matthew Crooks, drew attention when he began acting strangely outside the event. Despite efforts by law enforcement to intervene, the gunman managed to shoot before being stopped by U.S. Secret Service gunmen.
