Philadelphia apartment building ravaged by quick-spreading fire, leaving many residents displaced

A fire swiftly swept through an apartment building in Philadelphia, resulting in the destruction of the structure and the displacement of numerous residents. The fire at the 7400 Roosevelt Apartments complex began around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, according to city Fire Commissioner Jeffrey Thompson. Despite the efforts of approximately 140 firefighters who fought the blaze for almost three hours, it was eventually contained. Firefighters continued to be present at the scene on Friday morning to extinguish any remaining hot spots.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated, with no details released to the public yet. Around 50 residents were forced to evacuate, and some individuals are receiving aid and shelter from the American Red Cross. The four-story building located in Northeast Philadelphia had close to 200 separate units. Specific information regarding the three individuals who sustained minor injuries in the fire has not been disclosed by authorities.
