The 2024 US Presidential Election will take place in November and it is too early to predict the outcome of the polls. But recent poll surveys have shown that Republican leader Donald Trump is losing his grip over the voters continuously. His support among the masses has declined quickly and Joe Biden has received more votes than before. He is filling the gap quickly.

Emerson College poll

According to an Emerson College poll conducted last week, 43 percent favored the former president, while 42 percent voted for Joe Biden. Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. got just 8 percent votes. If all other candidates and undecided voters are removed, Trump had 51 percent of the vote against 49 percent for the incumbent. However, Spencer Kimball, Executive Director of Emerson College Polling told ‘News Week’ that among very likely voters, Biden is ahead  ..

In another poll survey conducted by YouGov Trump and Biden were found tied at 43 percent each with Kennedy Jr. trailing at third place. This survey took place between March 30 and April 2 and of 1,601 registered voters participated.

Survey by ‘Morning Consult’
In poll surveys conducted separately last month by ‘Morning Consult’ and ‘Big Village’ Joe Biden got a two-point lead over the Republican challenger.

Trump’s support slumps

This trend is contrary to the poll survey conducted in January this year when about 68 percent of Republicans and GOP-leaning voters said the former president was the candidate with the ‘best chance’ of getting elected in November. On the other hand, about 57 percent of Democrats felt President Biden was the Democratic Party’s choice.

A cursory study of these poll surveys reveals that support for Donald Trump is falling continuously, and Biden’s odds of victory has increased substantially.

Debate on abortion

Meanwhile, debate on the controversial issue of abortion has begun and the Republican leader has already come under severe criticism. This is important as Scott Lucas, a professor in international politics at University College Dublin, told ‘News Week’ that the abortion debate could decide the 2024 election.
