Wednesday morning in Northern California will bring comfortable conditions as temperatures continue to decline. Later in the week, there’s a forecast for rain and snow to make a return.

According to meteorologist Tamara Berg, although Tuesday saw temperatures above average, reaching the upper 70s, Wednesday is expected to peak in the upper 60s, falling below the usual for this time of year. Additionally, more clouds and an afternoon breeze will be noticeable.

By Wednesday evening, Berg anticipates light rainfall in northern counties like Plumas, with possible showers in the Sierra, though accumulations will be limited.

Looking forward to Thursday morning, wintry weather is expected to extend across more areas of Northern California, with widespread showers forecasted for the Sacramento Valley. Berg also mentioned the potential for a few thunderstorms.

Rainfall is forecasted to range from a tenth of an inch to a quarter-inch, as stated by Berg.
