Wojnarowski sells iPhones utilized for ‘Woj bombs’ to generate NIL funds for St. Bonaventure

Olean, N.Y. — Adrian Wojnarowski is in the process of clearing out his office, parting with cell phones, press credentials, and even offering to host dinner dates as part of an initiative to generate name, image, and likeness (NIL) funding for the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team.

The well-known former ESPN NBA reporter, celebrated for his breaking news updates commonly referred to as “Woj bombs,” took to social media on Monday to announce an online auction aimed at supporting his role as the general manager of the Atlantic 10 program.

Available for bidding are items such as Wojnarowski’s ESPN identification badge, various press passes, and multiple iPhones utilized for delivering key news updates, including the one announcing his transition from ESPN to St. Bonaventure last September.

The auction features minimum bid prices that vary from $90 for Wojnarowski’s credential from the 2023 NBA All-Star Game to $525 for the device he used to share the suspension of NBA games due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Additionally, bidders can secure unlimited video calls and dinner experiences with Wojnarowski himself.

Since returning to his alma mater, the 55-year-old Wojnarowski has taken on a comprehensive array of responsibilities, collaborating with head coach Mark Schmidt and his coaching staff. His role encompasses a focus on NIL initiatives, managing the transfer portal, recruitment, and fostering relationships with alumni players.
