On Valentine’s Day, social media was flooded with loved-up posts from celebrities celebrating the occasion.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stunned with a steamy V-Day photo, while Barack and Michelle Obama put divorce rumors to rest with affectionate images. But Lauren Sánchez’s post about Jeff Bezos? It lacked the romance, fueling speculation that their relationship might not be as passionate as before.
Sánchez’s Post Was Minimal—And Not Even on Her Grid
Unlike other high-profile couples, Sánchez didn’t even dedicate a new post to Bezos. Instead, she reshared a year-old Instagram post in her stories with a simple message: “Happy Valentine’s Day my love” followed by a white heart emoji. The original post she reshared praised Bezos’ work ethic, showing him at his old Amazon desk, but it had little to do with romance.
Even more telling? Sánchez’s first Valentine’s Day story wasn’t about Bezos at all—it was a teacup filled with candy hearts and a generic Valentine’s greeting. Meanwhile, Bezos himself posted nothing.
Are Sánchez and Bezos Cooling Off?
Sánchez and Bezos went public in January 2019 while the Amazon billionaire was divorcing MacKenzie Scott. Despite past speculation that their romance began as an affair, the couple has frequently supported each other’s business and philanthropic ventures.
Sánchez has also been vocal about their bond. In 2023, she gushed to The Wall Street Journal about their closeness, saying, “We fly together. We work out together. We’re together all the time.” Their engagement in 2023 was followed by a highly publicized PDA moment in front of Rome’s Trevi Fountain in 2024.
But in 2025, whispers of trouble began. In February, Sánchez posted a cryptic Instagram caption alongside a helicopter shot: “Some years start with turbulence, but that’s just the wind reminding you to spread your wings.” While some linked it to her relationship with Bezos, there’s no direct evidence supporting that theory.
Wedding Stress or Signs of Trouble?
With their wedding plans still under wraps, it’s possible the couple is simply dealing with the usual pressures of planning a high-profile ceremony. Sánchez confirmed in late 2024 that she had started organizing the event, but no date has been announced.
Still, the contrast between their Valentine’s Day posts—or lack thereof—has fans questioning whether the spark is fading between the billionaire and his fiancée.
