Johni Broome starred for Auburn, contributing with an impressive 19 points and pulling down 14 rebounds, while five of his teammates also reached double figures in scoring.
Alabama’s Mark Sears was a standout performer for the Crimson Tide, scoring 18 points. Grant Nelson contributed significantly as well, notching 12 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Despite Alabama’s efforts to rally from a substantial second-half deficit, they ultimately fell short in their comeback attempt.
Auburn’s scoring was well-distributed, with Denver Jones adding 16 points, and both Chad Baker-Mazara and Miles Kelly finishing with 15 points each.
