New York – Christie Brinkley is set to release a memoir this coming spring that will encompass her journey from becoming a renowned supermodel to her acting endeavors and her marriage to music icon Billy Joel.

The title of the book will be “Uptown Girl,” a nod to the famous song associated with her and Joel.

In a statement shared through Harper Influence, the publishing house handling the release, Brinkley, who recently celebrated her 71st birthday, expressed her intention behind writing the memoir. She hopes to motivate her readers to craft their ideal lives by embracing opportunities for adventure and discovering magic in both monumental and mundane moments. The book is scheduled to hit the shelves on April 29.

Brinkley’s prominence in the public eye stretches back fifty years to when she was discovered by photographer Errol Sawyer in Paris. Over the decades, she has graced the covers of numerous prestigious magazines, including Sports Illustrated and Vogue. In addition to her illustrious modeling career, Brinkley achieved recognition in films such as “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” and she made a notable appearance on Broadway as Roxie Hart in the musical “Chicago.” The 1983 music video for Joel’s hit song “Uptown Girl,” which features Brinkley, further solidified her connection to the song. Joel himself has acknowledged Brinkley and fellow supermodel Elle McPherson as significant sources of inspiration in his life.

Having been married four times, Brinkley’s most recent marriage was to Peter Cook, which ended in divorce in 2008. Harper Influence states that the memoir will delve into her exhilarating career as well as her four challenging marriages, particularly the sorrowful divorce from Billy Joel. Additionally, she will share her experiences from a life-threatening helicopter crash in 1994.

The announcement outlined that “Uptown Girl” will trace the unpredictable and often inexplicable turns her life has taken. The memoir will celebrate the adventures and serendipitous events she has encountered, from traveling the globe as a leading model during the model wars to living a life filled with travel alongside her rock star husband and their child. Brinkley’s narrative will include her experiences starring in major motion pictures, horseback riding with cowboys, training with world-champion boxers, and taking center stage on Broadway.
