Caitlin Clark and the Fever to face off in exhibition match versus Brazil’s National Team in Iowa

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever has announced an exhibition matchup against the Brazilian National Team for their WNBA preseason, set to take place at the University of Iowa. This game is scheduled for May 4 and presents an exciting opportunity for Caitlin Clark to compete as a professional with her current team at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the same venue where she achieved great success during her college career, leading her to become the top pick in the WNBA draft last spring.

Beginning the team’s 25th WNBA season on May 17 against the Chicago Sky, the Fever’s roster also includes Damiris Dantas, who has valuable experience playing for Brazil in two Olympic tournaments: the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics.

In a significant moment for Clark, the University of Iowa plans to retire her No. 22 jersey on Sunday, reflecting her extraordinary contributions to the sport. She concluded her college journey last season as the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I history, surpassing both men’s and women’s records. Clark’s dynamic playing style and impressive long-range shooting have cultivated a passionate fanbase that proudly wears her No. 22 jersey at games, whether at home or on the road.

In her inaugural season with the Fever, Clark joined forces with fellow All-Stars Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston. Their combined talents helped propel the Fever into the playoffs for the 14th time in the franchise’s history.
