The NFC and AFC championship matchups are set, with Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and the Philadelphia Eagles hosting Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders, while the Kansas City Chiefs await the Buffalo Bills.

Eagles Secure NFC Championship Spot

The Eagles advanced with a hard-fought 28-22 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Barkley was the star, rushing for 205 yards and scoring touchdowns of 62 and 78 yards. On defense, Jalen Carter delivered a clutch sack on Matthew Stafford during the Rams’ final drive, sealing the victory.

The Eagles (16-3) are making their second NFC title game appearance in three years and ninth overall. They’re 4-4 in NFC championship games, with one Super Bowl victory.

Commanders Upset Lions

Washington reached the NFC championship game for the first time in 33 years with a stunning 45-31 upset over the top-seeded Detroit Lions on Saturday night. The sixth-seeded Commanders (14-5) will now face their NFC East rivals for the third time this season, with each team having won at home during the regular season.

Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels aims to break the 0-5 record rookie QBs have in conference title games. His Commanders have a strong history in NFC championship games, going 5-1 with three Super Bowl wins.

Chiefs Eye Historic Three-Peat

The Kansas City Chiefs (16-2) advanced to their seventh straight AFC championship game with a 23-14 win over the Houston Texans on Saturday. Patrick Mahomes threw for 177 yards and a touchdown to Travis Kelce, who had a standout performance with 117 yards receiving, cheered on by girlfriend Taylor Swift and WNBA star Caitlin Clark.

Kansas City is aiming to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls in the Super Bowl era. The Chiefs are 4-2 in their previous AFC championship games under Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid.

What’s Next?

The Chiefs will face the Buffalo Bills in the AFC championship game at Arrowhead Stadium. Meanwhile, the Eagles and Commanders will meet in Philadelphia for a showdown that guarantees one NFC East team will head to the Super Bowl.
