Elon Musk and Steve Bannon are Enemies – Who will remain with Donald Trump?

“I Will Stop Him”

Elon Musk Faces a Powerful New Enemy
Suddenly, Elon Musk (53), the world’s richest man, has found himself at odds with a formidable adversary. Musk, who is closely aligned with the soon-to-be reinstalled US President Donald Trump (78), is facing fierce opposition from Steve Bannon (71), Trump’s former chief strategist.

Bannon, now a leading voice of the far-right, makes no effort to hide his disdain for Musk. In an interview with Italy’s Corriere della Sera, Bannon launched a scathing attack, calling Musk a “very evil” person whose influence he seeks to shield Trump from.

“I will make sure Elon Musk is thrown out before the inauguration,” Bannon declared. “He will not get a blue pass granting full access to the White House.”

The exact nature of Bannon’s future role remains unclear, but his animosity toward Musk is unmistakable.

Bannon Went to Prison for Trump
Bannon’s loyalty to Trump is beyond question. He recently served a four-month prison sentence for “contempt of Congress” after refusing to provide information about the January 6 Capitol riots.

Despite his legal troubles, Bannon remains close to Trump and has been seen at Trump’s luxury Mar-a-Lago resort. It’s unclear if he has crossed paths with Musk there, but the two certainly encountered each other during Trump’s first term in the White House.

The Dispute Over Immigration Policy
At the forefront of the feud is immigration policy. Musk supports H1B visas for skilled and talented immigrants, a stance that clashes with Bannon and the hardline “Make America Great Again” movement, which opposes such visas, arguing that foreign workers dominate top jobs in Silicon Valley.

Bannon’s Allegations Against Musk
Bannon claims that Musk’s political involvement, particularly his advisory role on government efficiency, is driven purely by self-interest and power.

“Elon Musk’s only goal is to become a trillionaire,” Bannon said. “He will do whatever it takes to ensure his companies are protected, get better deals, or make more money. The accumulation of wealth, and with it, power—that’s his objective.”

According to Bannon, American workers will not tolerate Musk’s pursuit of wealth and influence, hinting at a potential groundswell of opposition against the tech mogul.

As the battle between Musk and Bannon heats up, the stakes are high, with implications for the tech world, immigration policy, and Trump’s inner circle.
