Minnesota Wild’s Kirill Kaprizov sidelined for Friday’s game in Dallas due to lower body injury.

DALLAS — Kirill Kaprizov, a forward for the Minnesota Wild, will not participate in Friday evening’s matchup against the Dallas Stars due to a lower body injury.

Kaprizov is currently having an impressive season, ranking tied for second in the NHL with 23 goals and sitting fourth in total points with 50. Notably, he leads the league with six games in which he scored multiple goals and shares the distinction of having accumulated 56 goals this calendar year alongside Sam Reinhart of the Florida Panthers.

This will mark the second game of the season that Kaprizov will be sidelined. He previously missed a contest on November 23 against Calgary after sustaining a lower body injury just two nights prior during a game against Edmonton. Following that absence, Kaprizov has managed to attain points in 12 out of 15 games, scoring 10 goals, including two crucial game-winners, along with six assists.

As the Wild resume play after the NHL’s Christmas break, they are looking to even out their December record to 6-6-0, especially after achieving a strong 16-4-4 record during the previous two months. Additionally, the team leads the league with 27 points gained on the road, boasting a record of 12-3-3 in away games.
