The Philadelphia 76ers, the New York Knicks, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Phoenix Suns  and the Los Angeles Lakers were the big winners in the NBA on Christmas Day. Boston, Denver, Dallas, San Antonio and the Golden State Warriors were the big losers on Christmas weekend.

The Knicks won against an impressive San Antonio superstar Wembanyama with Christmas record-breaking 42 points in a last-minute-thriller thanks to their new superstar Bridges with 41 points with 117 – 114.

Also in a last minute thriller the Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors  in a deciding game for the playoffs with 115 – 113. Le Bron James was the winner with 31 points. The record setting 38 points of Stephen Curry didn’t help the Warriors who are now in danger to all out of the play off chances. The Lakers lost their super star Anthony Davis already in the first quarter – he could be out for the play offs with injury.

The team of the hour are the Philadelphia 76ers. For the first time with all their stars – Embiid, George, Maxey – on the court the 76ers destroyed the Boston Celtics with 118 – 114 and are fighting for a last minute chance for the play offs.

On Friday the Warriors play in LAs newest Intuit Dome against the Clippers- one of their last chances to clinch a play off spot.
