Former President Bill Clinton, 78, was admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center on Monday after developing a fever, his chief of staff announced.

“President Clinton remains in good spirits and deeply appreciates the excellent care he is receiving,” wrote Angel Ureña, Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, in a statement shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Health Concerns Amid Public Service

Clinton, who actively campaigned for Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election, has faced health challenges in recent years. In 2021, he was hospitalized for a urological infection that progressed to sepsis, a serious blood infection.

The former president has since maintained a public profile, engaging in political events and advocacy, despite ongoing health concerns. Further details about his current condition have not yet been disclosed.
