Bundle up! Sunday and Monday have been designated First Alert Weather Days due to dangerously low temperatures and bone-chilling wind chills, especially during the overnight hours.

Today’s Forecast: Frigid with a Side of Sunshine

Don’t let the sunny skies deceive you—highs today will barely escape the low 20s, but it’ll feel more like the teens. As night falls, temperatures will plummet into the single digits and low teens, making it even colder.

Monday Morning: Wind Chills Below Zero

Monday morning will bring even more brutal conditions, with wind chills dipping below zero north and west of New York City. Elsewhere, expect single-digit feels-like temperatures. The day itself will remain quiet but bitterly cold, accompanied by mostly sunny skies.

Holiday Outlook: A Festive Mix of Snow and Sunshine

Early Tuesday morning, a quick round of light snow or rain showers will move through, offering a touch of holiday charm but no major travel disruptions. By the afternoon, skies will clear, and highs will reach the mid-30s.

Christmas Day and the first night of Hanukkah look calm and seasonable, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs near 40 degrees.
