The two summer blockbusters „Inside Out 2“ and „Deadpool & Wolverine“ dominate the box office charts for 2024 and will be the movies of the year.
Number 3 will be „Wicked“ followed by „Moana 2“.
Number 5 will go to “Despicable Me 4“, followed by „Beetlejuice“ and „Dune Part 2“.
„Inside Out 2“ made $ 653 million since summer 2024 and will keep the number 1-spot even at the end of the year.
„Deadpool & Wolverine“ was the bis commercial surprise in 2024 with more than $ 636 million income at the US box offices alone.
„Wicked“ and „Moana 2“ are on the run since the Thanksgiving Weekend with already more than $ 350 million in only four weeks. Both might surpass the $ 500 million mark after the holiday season before the end of 2024.
Altogether four movies will make more than $ 500 million at the US box offices in this year – making 2024 in the end one of the most successful movies years of all time.„Inside Out 2“ started its success in June – with all other best selling m movies of this year coming out of the second half of this year.
