Soon-to-be First Lady Melania Trump opened up in her first interview since husband Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory, sharing insights about their return to the White House and the president-elect’s new term.

Appearing on Fox & Friends Friday morning, Melania discussed the whirlwind surrounding Trump’s historic second win, her transition preparations, and even her husband’s now-iconic dance moves.

“It’s Incredible,” Says Melania About Trump’s Victory

Reflecting on Donald Trump’s second presidential win, Melania expressed gratitude and excitement. “It’s incredible, and we are very, very busy,” she said.

As the January inauguration approaches, Melania is organizing her transition team and preparing for life in the White House once again. “I’m establishing my transition team, working on my office, organizing the residence, and packing,” she explained.

Unlike 2017, when she found the move challenging—an experience she detailed in her memoir Melania—this time feels much smoother. “This time it’s very different. We already know where we’re going. My team is in contact with the White House, so that’s a plus. We have everything we need,” she shared.

“A Changed Donald Trump”

Melania noted a marked difference in her husband’s demeanor compared to his first win in 2016. “The country and the people really supported him,” she said. “I think the energy is different. People around him are different.”

She praised her husband’s patriotism and dedication, saying, “He’s focused on making this country great again. His patriotism is incredible, and his hard work as well.”

The Viral “Trump Dance” and Barron’s Impact

The interview also touched on Donald Trump’s viral “Trump dance,” which has captivated fans. “This is a very special and unique dance,” Melania said with a laugh, noting how much fun people are having imitating it. “He’s coming all on his own,” she joked about not joining in herself.

Melania also highlighted the role of their 18-year-old son, Barron, in the campaign. “I’m very proud of him, about his knowledge, even about politics and giving his advice to his father,” she said.

Barron’s insights, particularly about reaching younger voters, proved invaluable. “He brought in so many young people. He knows his generation,” Melania explained, adding that Barron’s strategic advice helped the campaign connect with a crucial demographic.

As the Trump family prepares to move back into the White House, Melania expressed confidence in being ready for “day one,” just as her husband has promised. The excitement and momentum of the Trump campaign are clearly paving the way for a dynamic start to his second term.
