A glamorous 27-year-old model allegedly shot and killed her husband before turning the gun on herself in an apparent murder-suicide that has devastated their family.
The chilling incident unfolded early Wednesday morning on the oceanfront balcony of their lavish condo at Beach Club II Hallandale in Hallandale Beach, Florida, just north of Miami.
Sabrina Krasniqi reportedly fired five shots at her husband, 34-year-old Pajtim Krasniqi, before fatally shooting herself. Police responding to the 12:30 a.m. shooting discovered the couple’s lifeless bodies sprawled outside their 45th-floor unit, where they were pronounced dead at the scene.
A Family Shattered
Pajtim’s sister, Albana Krasniqi Munrett, expressed her grief in a heartbreaking Facebook post. “Pajtimi’s wife chose to take my brother’s life away from him when she shot 5 bullets into his chest,” she wrote. “The person he trusted most…betrayed him. She shattered my family. My siblings and I will never be the same.”
Albana also shared fears that their mother may never recover from the tragedy.
Harrowing Details Emerge
Aerial footage of the scene captured by local news outlets revealed bullet holes in a glass door and pools of blood near the couple’s bodies, later covered by a yellow tarp. Inside the condo, remnants of a seemingly ordinary evening remained—a teddy bear, a box of roses, and the TV still on.
According to reports, a gunfire detection program alerted police to the incident. The system recorded five shots fired in rapid succession, followed by a pause and a sixth gunshot. Police scanner chatter indicated that Sabrina was found lying on her back, while Pajtim was face down in a pool of blood on the balcony.
“We heard screaming, and it was scary,” said Max Braedlin, a neighbor who lives across the street. “I hear the shooting and then after a few minutes the police cars. It was a crowded scene.”
A Glamorous Yet Troubled Past
Sabrina, who also went by her maiden name Sabrina Dzaferovic, had gained attention in a 2021 Inside Edition segment, where she wore a mask in New York City’s Times Square to document catcalling. The couple’s deaths have also made headlines in Albania, as both were Kosovar Albanian nationals with connections to New York and Peja, Kosovo.
An Ongoing Investigation
While police have ruled the case a murder-suicide, they have not disclosed what may have led to the tragic gunfire. The investigation remains active, with authorities working to piece together the events that led to this devastating loss of life.
