A model known for his work with major brands like Calvin Klein and Levi’s has been officially charged in the fatal stabbing of a man in New York City, according to the latest reports from prosecutors.
Dynus Saxon faced arraignment in the Bronx criminal court on Friday night, relating to the murder of Kadeem Grant on November 10. The Bronx District Attorney’s office confirmed the details of the case.
Authorities discovered Grant, aged 35, with a stab wound to the chest in an apartment located in the Bronx. While the police have not revealed specific motives or further details about the incident, it has been confirmed that Grant was pronounced dead at the scene, and a knife was recovered as evidence.
Saxon was taken into custody on Monday, facing charges that include murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon. During his arraignment, the 20-year-old, who resides in East Harlem, was ordered to remain detained without bail and is scheduled to appear in court again on December 3, according to the office of the Bronx District Attorney.
Reports indicate that Saxon remained silent throughout the arraignment process. Witnesses noted that he had a significant bandage on his right hand, which seemed to be a result of injuries incurred from repeatedly stabbing Grant. The Bronx Defenders, a nonprofit organization providing legal defense, has not yet responded to inquiries regarding Saxon’s case.
Saxon had cultivated a following through his social media presence, particularly on Instagram, where he shared images showcasing his modeling career and appearances at high-profile events. This summer, he attended the New York premiere of the Marvel film “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Following the incident, his Instagram account has been set to private.
